The Undertale characters are having a family dinner with their S/O's family. S/O's grandma starts to flirt with them, but not really seriously. They're charming them playfully. They are just charmed by their partner and want to know more. How do they react?

Undertale Sans - He's flirting back with a lot of puns. He's glad at least your grandma likes him and he will spend most of the dinner with her, chatting like they've known each other for years. Sans loves old people, they always have the craziest stories to tell. They're a good public for his old-fashioned sense of humor too.

Undertale Papyrus - He's playing along, blushing and pretending to be overwhelmed by the compliments, and playfully fighting to give the best compliment to your grandma in return. He's having fun. He loves your grandma. She's great to bitch on people with! They need to hang out someday!

Undertale Toriel - Being an old lady herself, they become besties in like an hour or so. Toriel is playing along and is having fun, flirting back with no shame at all. After an hour or so, they are both on her phone checking pie recipes and sharing cooking secrets, and then they both disappear to go cook something because now they have to absolutely try it! You're not seeing either your girlfriend or your grandma for the rest of the dinner lol.

Undertale Asgore - He's blushing. Your grandma is hitting right every time she's talking to him and he's getting a bit overwhelmed. You joke asking him to be careful because your grandma will surely steal his heart and he throws you the most distressed look either. Please don't encourage her??? Save him instead! He's a mess and the dinner didn't even start yet!

Undertale Undyne - Your grandma can't stop petting her muscles and Undyne actually doesn't care at all, simply flexing to impress her. You're not sure what you're thinking of all of this honestly. Undyne is playing along and is determined to make a best friend out of your grandma. When you bring the plates, you catch them talking randomly about how to make Undyne's scales shinier and you decide it's best to not listen more.

Undertale Alphys - Alphys is a bit shy around your grandma at first, but as she gets more comfortable, you discover she can flirt as well, really savagely and with no remorse. It's a cheesy flirt contest now, and you're just staring in shock, wondering what is happening to your socially awkward girlfriend. Alphys is excited the next time you tell her you're taking her to have dinner in your grandma's house. Your grandma has Alphys' number now and they're chatting all night long as well.

Undertale Frisk - Do I even need to mention how Frisk is flirting back, saying the weirdest things possible to make your grandma howl with laughter? Frisk loves the attention, they love your grandma and they will do anything to have a reaction. They never have a real human family, but you have the feeling it's about to change soon.

Undertale Chara - They're smiling to be polite, but clearly, they're not too comfortable with this, searching your eyes. You can see they're calling you for help, but, eh, you're just staring back. Your grandma is having fun for once, you don't want to ruin her fun. Chara can deal with this. You're going to pay back though, be careful. You owe them one.

Undertale Mettaton - You didn't know your grandma is a big fan of Mettaton. As soon as she starts to flatter his shows, you know it's so over for you. Mettaton forgot your existence and is all over your grandma, showing her all of his merch and signing things and slowly dragging her towards the exit as he absolutely wants to bring her to his set and to doll her up to present her in his next show. You're weakly trying to stop him but you know it's no use. Once Mettaton is decided to do something, he will do it, either you say something about it or not.

Undertale Gaster - He's distressed now. You told him to be nice to your grandma and not be a grunch, and he promised he would, but please... That's the third cake he has to eat entirely because your grandma thinks he's too skinny and he's going to get sick, he swears he's going to get sick. Can he please stop now? He can't do this for another hour. He's begging you now.

Undertale Grillby - He's a bit shy, and your grandma pressuring him to talk more about himself is starting to make him anxious. The fact she's getting closer and closer to him doesn't help either. She clearly loves to touch his flames, to the point she's sticking her entire hands in them even though Grillby is weakly trying to ask her to not do that. Please save him.

Undertale Muffet - Honestly, you're in shock after Muffet purposely gives your grandmother a free pastry, and then a second one as your grandma praises her. What's going on? Did your grandma just tame Muffet??? Muffet is never giving pastries for free, NEVER. Your grandma is just special you guess. You're so jealous actually.

Undertale Burgerpants - Your grandma just pet him and now Burgerpants is crying on her laps telling her everything Mettaton is doing to her and how he's going to have a mental breakdown if he keeps working there and your grandma is comforting him and telling him he worths more than this and that's she's going to sue that robot's ass for bullying her grandson-in-law. You're too in shock to say anything.

Undertale Flowey - Flowey is hissing and screaming but it's too late. Your grandma decided to fertilize him because his petals are not shiny enough. You wave goodbye at Flowey, promising you will remember him, as he's getting dragged in the garden. Flowey curses you and your descendants for twenty generations.

Undertale Gerson - He's laughing so much you have to ask him and your grandma to lower their voice volume. Gerson answers back that he'll shut up once you buy him and your grandma hearing aids lol. Your grandma approves and calls you a little brat for ruining their fun. You're defeated.

So first of all I absolutely ADORE Martlet. She's easily one of my favorites in UTY and it's honestly because of how her personality is handled? She's silly and sweet, but not played to be a goofy comic relief or even obnoxious. She's quite literally your friend from start to finish (unless you're at your worst) even when she fumbles and makes mistakes in regards to looking out for you. Ride or die bestie bird!

Definitely the scatterbrain behavior. I am also a clumsy buffoon. The amount of times I genuinely thought "girl, me too" when going about silly lines with her was too high. Also I think I'd also put my career on the line if it meant looking out for a funny little cowboy like who WOULDN'T say "screw this job" about someone like Clover? Martlet's a real one.

"12. What's a headcanon you have for this character?"

Personal headcanon, but I feel like she's top of her class in terms of being a battler. Like it's clear that even her peers don't think too much of her since she's a bit of an airhead at times and she's even at risk at losing her job because she's clumsy, but I genuinely feel like a reason she kept the job a while in the first place is because she can genuinely pull her weight in battle!

We've seen it! Even on a Neutral route she pulls some pretty stellar bullet patters and attacks that are hard to dodge. Adding that to what we know about the No Mercy route, and she seems like she's more than capable at taking down the best of them. I like to think Captain Undyne is impressed with her for this reason!

Chapter two

Chris woke up to the sound of the broom sweeping the floor. It was probably eight in the morning, and the kid had a hard time processing that they were in a different room.

“Oh, good morning, Chris!!! I hope I didn’t wake you up” It was Papyrus, who gave them a bright smile, still sweeping.

“Good morning! I’m not sure what woke me up, honestly”

“I guess I will have to force Sans to get out of bed. I don’t want to eat breakfast without him”

“I can wait a little bit”

“Alright then”

Chris splashed water on their face and went downstairs to sit on the couch. Papyrus was still cleaning his room, so they couldn't ask him for permission to watch TV. They decided to turn on the TV anyway, and wait for Papyrus's reaction. The first thing that appeared on the screen was a specific channel, in which a robot was presenting the news. The strange thing about that was that, instead of presenting relevant and chaotic news as Chris expected, this robot presented the craziest and most absurd news. They stared at the screen, confused, before hearing Papyrus’s voice upstairs.

“I see that you’re watching the Mettaton show, Chris!” he said, happily “I love that show”

He tried to finish cleaning quickly so he could sit next to the child, and talk with them about Mettaton, and his opinions on some stuff that was happening on screen, and some anecdotes.

“So my bestie’s girlfriend, Alphys, made Mettaton years ago” he was telling them, for example “She made Mettaton the first robot with a soul!!! Alphys is also trying her best to find a peaceful solution so we monsters can go to the surface!! Undyne is very proud of her. Undyne is my bestie, by the way, I can’t believe I didn’t told you about Undyne!!!”

“Mornin’ “ they both heard, and when they looked up, they saw Sans yawning, about to go downstairs.

“Oh, good morning, Sans! You woke up earlier today. Just a little” Papyrus said, with a sly smile.

“Yeah. When I heard you two talking, I knew I had to get outta bed if I didn’t want you to yell at me” he said, with a chuckle.

“You are getting good at predicting the future, brother” Papyrus said, and he got up from the couch “I must prepare breakfast now”

While Papyrus was in the kitchen, Sans sat next to Chris.

“How are you doing, kid? Didja sleep well here?” he asked, and the kid nodded “Good, good… Now we'll have to think what to do with you when we go to work. Maybe you should see the queen and stay there”

“But I don’t know where is she”

“I can take you there if you want to”

“I can hear you, Sans!!” his brother said, while making pancakes in the kitchen “You just want to get rid of them!!!”

“I’m just asking. They can stay home if they want”

“We’ll talk about that later! Now, set the table, Sans!”

Sans just used his magic to unfold a table, and put it in front of the kitchen. Then, he just closed his eyes, probably trying to nap a bit.

“Sans I told you to-!!! Arghhhh, whatever!!!”

Chris got up to help, but Papyrus ended up setting the table all by himself.

“You can use your magic to help me more, Sans” he said, with an exasperated sigh.

“But I can’t!” Sans whined, more to mess with his brother than anything else.

“Of course you can, bonehead!!”

“No, I’m not strong enouuuuugh…”

“Stop acting like a child and sit down!!”

Sans sat down, with a smile. Papyrus was serving the pancakes, irritated, before sitting as well.

Chris noticed how Sans was pouring ketchup… on the pancakes. Then, the skeleton smashed his face into the food. Chris kept staring at him, thinking they had seen it all. Then, they looked at Papyrus, who was picking up a whole pancake with his fork, and taking a bite. He noticed them and smiled at them brightly. Chris smiled back and started eating. They thought the brothers were hilarious, and they were feeling genuinely happy.

“So, where do we leave the kid?” Sans said, wiping the ketchup off his face with a tissue.

“What do you mean?” his brother asked, still eating.

“We have to work” “Oh, true… Well, they can’t be home alone…”

“You have to train with Undyne today, it’ll be messy if you take the kid with you. I’m just gonna be on the sentry station. I think I should take the kid with me”

“Are you sure, brother?” Papyrus asked, worried “Are you going to take good care of them?”

“Just trust me. I took care of you when we were kids and you turned out decent”

“Decent, huh?” he couldn’t help but smile, even if he wanted to be pissed at him “Okay, I will trust you. Make sure you return home with them”

“I’ll”

“You mean ‘I will’ ?”

“Yeah, sorry, I was feeling too lazy to say it correctly”

“Ugh, you are a mess…”

“But I’m your mess, right?” Sans smiled at him.

“I do not want to associate with any messes, thank you!!” his brother exclaimed, frowning “But… Well, I suppose you’re technically my mess since we are associated by the power of brotherhood…”

Sans laughed, finishing his pancakes.

“I guess we should head out, then” he said, looking at Chris “So you can get ready for training in peace, Paps”

“Alright, but come home early. And don’t take the human to that stupid bar!!!”

“Uh-huh. Well, come on, kiddo” Sans said, and Chris followed him to the front door.

its basically deltarune but the characters are swapped but not that much. like some of them aren't that different from the canon ones

sooooo the soul ends up in susie's room but she doesn't want to absorb a human soul and get possessed (reasonably) and neither does the soul want to possess someone so she digs up an old toy and gives it to it as a vessel. then she goes downstairs for breakfast and alphys and undyne are her parents 👍 they go to school. undyne is her teacher so she does her job. but the chalk is missing!!!!!!!!!!!! so the soul and susie go to the closet but its a dark world etc etc

ralsei is the first darkner they meet and he sees susie and goes intruder alert!!!!!! and shoots magic at them

one thing they don't agree on is the prophecy. like noelle wants to follow it to the letter and sees it as the only correct way of living because of what she grew up listening to but ralsei wants to go against the creators who gave everyone such a cruel destiny.....

ralsei's the darkner and also the prince of the dark and he lived with his family until he turned 4 years old and the whole kingdom fucked off to who knows where because that's what the prophecy told them to do. he lived alone for 10 years until noelle got promoted

he hates the prophecy since he got left because of it and also hes claustrophobic. castle town is pretty small

in chapter one he leaves the party for a while because noelle keeps insisting on following the prophecy and he just wants to eat weird fruits with his new best bro...

susie's the monster and she's basically just a kid with no friends except for kris who's her neighbor. they used to be closer before asriel got sick but they still hang out sometimes

she takes most of the decisions herself but understands that the soul is smarter and more knowledgeable than her so sometimes she asks for its input. also the soul is like. another character

in fights the soul chooses everything because nobody wants to have to strategize

Papyrus (Monstrum)

I have added a whole concept section to this one. As Papyrus was a lot harder to come up with, so I have some concepts stuff for him down below! So if anyone wanted to see that, read to the end!

    The Fantastical Papyrus follows his original code pretty well. However, as requested of Frisk, is a lot like Monstrum. As Papyrus is not a God of sorts, he is able to change into a god form like Monstrum. Though, he doesn't like to transform into it. Infact, Papyrus down right chooses to not use it. He likes to use that form for another purpose. A blaster form. Papyrus, for some reason, has OG Sans' 'WORLD CODE'. Giving him a marriage of OG Papyrus' battle style as well as Sans'. As his eye's do not glow like Sans in the judgment hall, his 'Blasters' do.

    Speaking of Monstrum and Papyrus' duo! Monstrum does not care for Papyrus. Surprised Frisk too. Although Monstrum is reluctant to be around Papyrus, Monstrum is most often around him than other monsters. Their dynamic is, strange to say the least. Since Papyrus has some of OG Sans' 'WORLD CODE'. Papyrus is quite the jokester, while Monstrum is lost in the humor. Not that Monstrum hates it. It's just offen that the jokes go over his head, so to speak. While Papyrus is the pun lord of the two, Monstrum likes to be the task driven character. He likes to get things done while Papyrus likes to take his time to get to the end of the task. More or less, the rolls of the classic Sans and Papyrus duo is flipped for them here.      If there is anything that still sticks, weather is the fandom or not, is the power couple dynamic that would be Papyrus and Mettaton. The best example of these two's relationship is that of Dogamy and Dogaressa. They like to mirror each other, and bounce off of each other. However, they are not quite like Dogamy and Dogaressa. While the dog couple like to finish each other's sentences, Papyrus and Mettaton like to express each other. As in, Mettaton will occonaly do a pose Papyrus will typically do, and vise versa with Papyrus taking a pose that Mettaton would do and resembles it. It's honestly, quite cute when they do the same pose at the same time. Sometimes, it can be quite comedic. These two are often found ice skating when Papyrus is off duty.     Undyne and Papyrus are besties! Really these two will do anything for each other. While Papyrus does stand obnoxiously taller than the angry sushi, as in Papyrus is about 10 feet tall while Undyne is rounded at 6 feet, he still lets Undyne noogie him. Undyne and Papyrus do a lot of training battles, and or constantly trying to one up each other. This gives Frisk a lot of practice at dodging the duo's extra attacks that get deflected from these battles. Before you ask, yes they still do cooking lessons. Though it is with Papyrus teaching Undyne how not to destroy her kitchenette. Somethings will never change with these two.     As for Frisk and Papyrus' compationship, Frisk lives with the large skelly monster. When Monstrum is not in the house he will often be out to repair something in Snowdin. Leaving these two to hangout a lot. Sometimes Papyrus will take Frisk out on his rounds around Snowdin. To make puzzles, build snowmonsters, or to see the locals in the area. They really do bounce well off of each other. They really love exchanging puns and jokes from each other. Making others who dislike puns, a good pair to steer clear of. Papyrus also is great at being the 'eyes' for Frisk. What I mean by that is, Papyrus will often over explain what things look like. Giving Frisk a really good idea what they would be seeing. As their worldview may be blurred. When they are with Papyrus, it might be as if they had 20/20 vision. Making Papyrus the best Uncle for Frisk.     As often as Papyrus is around Frisk, this also means that he is around Chara. Papyrus is aware that Chara is to be the next ruler of the Underground when the Queen and King decide to retire. However, Chara has asked him to be himself when not in New Home. As such, Papyrus is kind of annoying to Chara. His constant puns, over explanation of anything and blunt way of saying things makes Chara easily tired and annoyed by the loud skeleton. Although, Chara finds this just as charming for him. Along with that Frisk is also relaxed being around him; Chara will always put up with him being annoying or obnoxious, over yelling at him to be silent.

Okay, for the part most of y'all wanted. The concepting for Papyrus. I will keep this bref. I debated over two dinosaur skulls for his head shape. Gorgonopsia and sebecidae. Gorgonopsia had a flat profile, while sebecidae had a more flattened head. I think you can figure out which one I went for. I did debate horns, but went against as I ended up disliking them due to them feeling like they were too much.

Papyrus scarf, since Frisk in this AU owns the original Papyrus Scarf. I did a little inspiration from Ink, and Swap Sans for Monstrum Papyrus' Scarf. Making it like a cape. I also gave it the Delta Rune for New Home. As for his armor. I grabbed inspiration from Fell Papyrus. Spiky shoulder pads, I did try to spike his radius. However, I went against it. Once again, feeling like it was too much. So I just made his gloves like Fell Papyrus' gloves but with armor. Now, Papyrus' lower half. I didn't want to draw digitigrade legs every time I saw him, also his legs felt to bear. So I did some digging and thought of the kilt. As Frisk loves to call it, battle skirt. Boots are the same just with some armor over it. Must protect them toes from coffee tables!

Now, I will not lie. A tail was tempting. However, when I was thinking about it. I scratched the idea from conception. How does he balence? Well, how do you ride a bike? But I did want to keep him tall. So I made him roughly 10 feet tall.

No. I do not regret that decision.

But! That is all I got for now. Tell me who I should add to my list. I got Gaster, Muffit, Grillby, and the Snowdin dogs to do. I may also add in the bunny from the store. To the sticky note list for now, I guess.

Kay then! Underfell Papyrus, at least the way I write him, comes with this list:

• I love how good of a leader he is. It’s not just that he’s commanding and powerful, it’s more that he knows how to do it well. I’ve worked with awful leaders before, and they are easy to spot; good leaders are not.

They know what needs to be done on a large scale and are willing to let others handle the tasks they give them without being overbearing , but also can see when and where those people need help. They use their knowledge of people’s strengths and weaknesses to get them in the right place to do the best work they can. They take care of the people they work with, too, whether that’s by getting them tools, help, or even turning off a specific light fixture. Finally, they don’t put themselves above others unless they have to.

• My least favorite thing about him is his self-image. In my writing, Edge tends to vascilate between a state in which he needs to reaffirm how excellent, terrible, wonderful, etc. he is and a state where he hates himself for that very thing, his looks, his past decisions, etc. It's a really hard thing to write because I can never tell which way he'd act, and I know that being around that kind of person is hard and can be very annoying.

• "Watching Dust and Red speak with the doctor was quite honestly hilarious. They were being earnest and attentive- at least Red was. Dust was panicking, which, given the fuzzy explanation Red had given Edge about the medical torture his own father had put him through, Dust was allowed to be. They were both taking notes (Dust’s hand was shaking). They were clearly trying to pay attention and learn. The effort was awe-inspiring. • For Edge, honestly, I have 2 different BrOTPs (although they can easily be a BrOT3). I really like his relationship with Felldyne, and I also really want to write and/or play with him and Tale Undyne. There's just something about that siblings-in-arms thing, combined with a ridiculousness factor. Also, in his relationship with Tale Undyne I really want to explore how she'd feel, seeing this alternative of her bestie who did join the guard and excelled, but, at the same time, seeing the cost that position made him pay. I think there would absolutely be a fight between the two Undynes over that. Edge would not be a fan of that. Tale Papyrus would probably cheer them on.

• Picking an OTP for Edge is hard for me (I got "infected" with multishipping early and have been loving it ever since). If I had to narrow it down, though, I think I'd go with Fellcest. No matter what flavor it is (soulmates, partners in crime, stress-relief, abusive, what have you), I think they're very much a great dynamic. Both of them have a high snark factor that can add up to more than either one alone. Both have LV and will fight if they have to. Both have a responsibility that's outside their relationship that conflicts with it (to a certain degree, at least). But, at the same time, they've got very different motivations and interests. I just like to see them together? I guess?

• It's weird, but I think the closest thing I have to a nOTP with Edge is US Papyrus. There's definitely dynamics where it would work, or situations, but it's just... not for me. IDK, I'm just a little uncomfortable with it. I think it's the way they treat their brothers, honestly. Even if we aren't talking about my Stretch (that bastard is just... self-explanatory), US Papyrus is usually kind of lazy and tries to avoid responsibility, but, at the same time, is both overprotective of his brother and takes advantage of him (to various degrees). I don't think it would be a good thing for Edge to be with that, and Edge is a strong enough character that he wouldn't put up with it or stay. My Edge, at least, really isn't a fan of manipulative people or people who treat others as less than they are.

• Random Headcannon, huh? Okay. I don't think Edge would be a fan of most sports. He'd definitely not like watching them, and if he had to he'd be ranting the whole time about how wasteful it is to hone your skills to one purpose so much that it ends up destroying your own mind and body.

• My unpopular opinion (other than the whole thing about spicyhoney) is that Edge does not like spice. He just hates it, it makes him nauseous just thinking about it. It hurts his mouth and ruins the subtle flavors of most cooking. This may or may not have been the unintended side effect of one of Red's pranks. In retrospect, dumping the whole jar of cayenne pepper into the sauce for those wings was a really mean thing to do.

• This isn't something I normally do with characters, actually. I have songs for different moods of theirs, different scenes in different stories, even different outfits, but not for the character themself. I had to go through my playlists a bit, but I think I'd go with World Gone Mad by Bastille (which I didn't learn the origin of until just now. I was just listening to songs by that band when I first discovered it. This is how I find music.). You can look it up if you want, I am not going to link to anything because reasons.

• I've just tried to find the source of this one, since I've had it saved for a very long time, but I can't find it; I have a feeling it may be from someone or somewhere that was lost in the Tumblr Purge. If anyone can find who made it, please let me know so I can credit them!

worst storyline: i’ll be honest the date 💔 i do like it from the perspective of an aro guy forcing attraction but i still prefer the hangout way more for. obvious reasons

childhood hc: i think he’ll be a child/teen deltarune! and i think he was a lonely (bonely) kid, which is why he wants to be popular so much

story:

once upon a time, two races ruled over earth, humans and monsters. one day, war broke between the two races. the humans were victorious and they sealed the monsters underground. they say that those who climb mt. ebott never come back. that is because they fall into the underground. monsters don't feel any resentment towards humans, though. no, they welcome every human with joy. humans are very treasured in the underground. in fact, the current leader of the royal guard is a human. but that's a different story. if you'd like, i could tell you...

long ago, the two kings lived together happily with their two best friends. it was all so fun and amazing. until one day, both of thee kings' friends got sick. they did all they could to try to save them, but with one of the two being the royal scientist and the best and one of the only doctors of the underground, it was almost impossible. ultimately, the two died, and the underground seemed much quieter and sadder. but life goes on, and even if you miss the ones lost, you must always remember the good times with a smile and don't get caught up in the past. alright kid, it was nice talkin' to ya, but i gotta get going. kingly duties y'know?

stuff abt the characters:

this au is mostly for fluff tbh

let's begin by talking about the two idiots that live in snowdin.

so flowey and paps are two best friends and roommates who cause chaos in snowdin town. paps hasn't changed much, besides being much more laid back when it comes most stuff and being a bit less childish. on the other side, flowey is more childish than before, but is still the same chaotic little flower who wants to see the world burn (but he doesn't really wish death upon anyone unless they deserve it). he was never asriel, he was born a flower monster. also these two have very obvious crushes on each other but are both too oblivious to realise and too scared to tell each other.

frisk is just a human who fell down to the underground and just kinda became friends with everyone. they like to help people and they admire chara a lot. they're best friends with monster kid (who still has the same role btw) and they're very goofy and love to joke around, even tho they can be serious if needed.

chara is another human that fell down and somehow ended up becoming thee captain of the royal guard after undyne's death. they are literally so cool what else can i say abot them.

tori just kinda chills inthe ruins. she lives in the same house as the original game and is still the caretaker of the ruins. she also has a snail racing business in waterfall. she's very good friends with sans and they cook together a lot. they're besties your honor <3. she gets along well with everyone else and she's kind of like a motherly figure to almost everyone who's younger than her.

metta was the former star of the underground, but after alphys' death, he became a bit more depressed. he's fine tho. kind of. he decided to take the role of royal scientist because he knew a lot of stuff from alphys and he was interested in it. he really misses her, but he's trying his best to move on. he was able to repair a body alphys made that was similar to his, which he gave to his cousin blooky, who is now the new star of the underground. he's become much more secluded and less scoial, but he still has a lot of friends and his past fame still sort of lingering. blooky is trying their best to cheer him up.

sans and asgore are happily married, no angst here bc i said so. sans goes to the ruins everyday to see if any humans fell down and to hang out with the monsters there who are usually lonely. he'd be the first monster you'd meet if you fell down to the underground, but im still not sure if i want to make a human that goes through the whole underground undertale style or not. asgore is the same as always, but a bit less depressed cuz he has a great husband who always cheers him up :D

undyne and alphys are fucking dead. thats it. if i were to do the human thing i said earlier, they'd probably show up at the end of the pacifist route to thank you for freeing the monsters. idk what else to say

Propaganda:

Willow Park and Gus Porter (The Owl House): Neither of them could keep any friends before they met each other. They’re both really powerful witches that struggle with deep insecurities. They first met when Gus was having an anxiety attack, and Willow taught him a breathing exercise that he still uses. There’s never so much as a hint of romantic implication between them, yet they link arms and hug and love each other to bits. They’re both total dorks. Gus is first introduced to the viewer by infodumping about his interests to Willow. They’re amazing.

Undyne and Papyrus (Undertale): THEY'RE BESTIES. They're crazy they're party. Seriously, if you're an undertale fan and haven't checked out the massive amounts of phone call dialogue these two have, you're missing out!! And aside from their crazy anticts and bantering, their friendship is actually really sweet too, though not without it's flaws. It's what makes them interesting though! Papyrus views Undyne as a role model of sorts as the leader of the royal guard, and that probably makes him a bit unsure if he's "allowed" to view her as a friend too? And he seems to try to avoid going against her wishes and doesn't want to voice his disagreement. Even over small stuff like liking greasy food or anime. But I think he's probably getting a lot better about this with time. After all, their relationship started as an apprenticeship, but most of their dialogue in game is very casual and they feel like equals joking around and teasing each other. He even enthusiastically plays the wingman when Undyne herself is full of nerves over asking Alphys out!
